EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — The Experimental Aircraft Association’s B-25, the Berlin Express, returns to the skies in 2023, with plans to embark on a tour across the United States with stops already scheduled in eight states.
New manufacturing facility for Schweiss Doors
Schweiss Doors, a manufacturer of hydraulic and bifold liftstrap doors, has built a new manufacturing facility that will also serve as a showcase for the company’s new “free-standing” header frames.

Upcoming changes mean less time to take written tests
Starting April 24, 2023, you’ll have less time to take your written test, but have to answer more questions.

More than 70 pilots are expected to participate in the 2023 AirVenture Cup Race, held the weekend before EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.
ASA updates Flight Instructor Oral Exam Guide
The expanded eighth edition includes “Fundamentals of Instructing” questions covering the subjects from the FAA’s Aviation Instructor’s Handbook (FAA-H-8083-9). Its content accounts for the latest FAA test standards, including new risk management considerations and chapters covering all Areas of Operation and Tasks.

The AOPA Air Safety Institute (ASI) has released a new video in its Beyond Proficient: IFR video series that provides tools and tips on IFR flight plan filing for pilots.
Town lobbies to save ATC services at KJYO
The FAA has informed the staff at Leesburg Executive Airport in Virginia that it is canceling the Remote Tower Program. While ATC services are scheduled to end June 14, 2023, town officials say they are hopeful that a solution will be found to allowing “uninterrupted ATC services” at the airport.
