Common flight board for volunteer pilots in the works
Being a volunteer pilot is great, but sometimes it’s a hassle to see what flights are available — which means some flights don’t happen. To take care of this problem, the Air Care Alliance needs help to create a Common Flight Board that shows opportunities across the nation.

We had a great flight in to Skykomish State Airport (S88) and a fabulous lunch at the Whistle Stop cafe in town. The planes included two Maules, a Skywagon, a Carbon Cub, and a Cessna 120.”

The FBO’s procedure of having a fuel truck cross the runway is to have the dispatcher in the FBO call on the CTAF “fuel truck preparing to cross runways,” the dispatcher then radios to the fuel truck they can cross if no one replies.
