NASA’s Mars helicopter completes 50th flight

“When we first flew, we thought we would be incredibly lucky to eke out five flights,” said Teddy Tzanetos, Ingenuity team lead at JPL. “We have exceeded our expected cumulative flight time since our technology demonstration wrapped by 1,250% and expected distance flown by 2,214%.”

Five win Cascade Warbirds scholarships

Student pulls fuel mixture instead of carb heat

My conclusion is that the student accidentally leaned the mixture while attempting to adjust carb heat, power, and flaps while abeam the landing point. Since I reached for the throttle when I observed the issue, my view of the mixture knob was obscured, and I failed to notice it in the lean position.
