The Fargo Air Museum has partnered with Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 941 to host Vietnam Memorial Week April 29 through May 5, 2023.
The week kicks off Saturday, April 29, at 9:30 a.m. with an opening ceremony that includes Glenn Thoreson, an F-4 flight surgeon and Vietnam veteran; a missing man ceremony; a 21-gun salute; and more.
A ceremony on Sunday, April 30, includes keynote speaker Maynard Kaderlik, a Vietnam veteran knowledgeable on Agent Orange and the PACT Act, a musical performance by the Red River Valley Veterans Concert Band, and more.
The Vietnam Memorial Wall, Canadian Vietnam Memorial Wall, various aircraft, and military vehicles are on display all week, according to museum officials.
“This week is dedicated to awareness and education around the Vietnam War and to honor those that served,” said Larry Nicholson, president of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 941.
