Adventure Pilot has launched Dispatch Mode, a specialized version of iFly EFB developed for flight dispatcher education and operations training programs.
The FAA-approved programs align with FAA Part 65 Dispatch curriculum requirements, according to company officials, who note that some automated EFB features have been intentionally disabled to encourage manual flight planning and calculation skills — essential skills for students pursuing FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certification.
Features include:
- Authentic Flight Planning Experience: Core EFB automation is selectively limited, requiring students to manually perform nav log calculations, fuel planning, and time en route computations.
- Full IFR Resource Suite: Includes IFR plates, low en route charts, navaid and fix database, and aircraft performance profiles to support dispatch scenarios.
- Integrated Training Tools: Enables instructors to simulate real-world dispatch environments with current aviation data and practical planning exercises.
- Training Application: Recognized for use as an electronic tool within FAA-approved dispatcher training programs.
