SkyWatch and Global Aerospace have teamed to offer on-demand renters insurance for pilots.
Pilots can buy the usage-based insurance for rented general aviation aircraft on a yearly, monthly, weekly, or daily basis.
Most pilots across the U.S. are renters, which means that flying in an irregular and spontaneous fashion is common, company officials noted. However, available insurance policies run on a yearly or monthly basis, so many of these pilots, from leisure enthusiasts to students and their instructors, end up paying for insurance even when they are not flying.
SkyWatch will distribute the product, which is available in most US states, directly to pilots and via select partners, while Global Aerospace will provide underwriting expertise and claims handling.
Pilots can get covered in 90 seconds for as little as $5 a day at SkyWatch.ai and entering a few details.
They already have this for drone pilots.
Would have to research this in further detail . . If mishap or damage say it does happen for say the daily flight , what proof could you are would you have proving coverage for that plane and /or damage to any property ? Any thing electronic these days has a way of dis
appearing these days at the worst possible time . Just curious .
