Aircraft Spruce will once again offer customers the option to pick up orders placed in advance at SUN ‘n FUN, slated for April 5-10 in Lakeland, Florida.
Company officials note they will have a limited amount of stock available at the SUN ‘n FUN booth, so they encourage customers to place their orders before the show.
If ordering online, click the “Store/Event Pickup” option when ordering.
The company will process SUN ‘n FUN orders exactly as standard orders, but instead of shipping the order to customers, it will bring them to the fly-in.
A $50 minimum order is required for this service. Due to limited space on the truck and in our booth, certain products cannot be picked up at SUN ‘n FUN, for example, large pieces of wood, metal, foam, etc.
It is a service that someone uses, apparently….I see your points TedZ, but there are some folks who
will use this service and appreciate it…I get them too!
I guess I just don’t get this. Let’s see, if you pick up your stuff you have to pay Sales Tax, you get your stuff much later than if it had been shipped, and you have to carry it home in your already overloaded airplane or car. I see this advertised every year, and maybe I’m missing something, but why would anyone do this except to save shipping on large parts or materials. Oh, wait, they can’t bring large pieces because they won’t fit on the truck.
Sorry, Spruce, I love ya, and I order from ya, but I just don’t it.
