Garmin slates open house

By General Aviation News Staff · May 27, 2015 ·

Garmin will hold its first Aviation Open House Thursday, June 11, from 4-7 p.m. CDT. Pilots are invited to visit Garmin headquarters in Olathe, Kansas, to learn more about Garmin, tour the company’s product reliability lab, manufacturing and repair facilities and flight simulator lab.

Informational seminars tailored to Garmin avionics and industry-related topics also will be held.

Garmin is located four miles west of Johnson County Executive airport (KOJC) in Olathe. Pilots who will be flying in should park at KCAC Aviation, according to Garmin officials. KCAC has offered a $0.25 per gallon discount for anyone who flies in for the event (please notify the line staff when placing your fuel order). A shuttle will be provided to take pilots and guests between the airport and Garmin headquarters.

Garmin also will be hosting an additional event in Salem, Oregon, on June 25 from 4-7 p.m. Space for both events is limited to 200 attendees.

Visit Garmin’s Aviation Open House Registration website to RSVP.
