Museum to host antique auto show

WINDSOR LOCKS, CONN., April 29, 2014, – The New England Air Museum will hold its annual Antique Auto Show on Sunday, June 1.

Co-sponsored by the Connecticut Council of Car Clubs, this will be one of the larger auto shows of the year. Visitors can expect a wide range of cars, including early antiques such as Model Ts, show cars from the 1930s and 1940s, street rods, sports cars, the dream cars of the 1950s and muscle cars of the 1960s and early 1970s.

Participant and people’s choice awards and dash plaques will be given to the first 200 cars. The show will feature the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang with favorite Mustang Award.

Admission to the Auto Show is included with the regular admission fee to the museum. The Auto Show will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the Museum staying open until 5 p.m.

Also available on the day of the event will be the museum’s Flight Sim Spot, which provides visitors with a high tech flight experience.

Admission is $12 for ages 12 and up, $11 for seniors 65 and up and $6.50 for ages 4 to 11. Children under 3 are admitted free. The New England Air Museum is located by Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Conn.
