Despite the economy Comp Air Aviation reports they are still on track to certify the Comp Air 12, its single-engine turboprop aircraft, by first quarter of 2012. Honeywell has signed on to outfit the Comp Air 12 with the Primus Apex avionics suite. The planned move to Melbourne International Airport, Florida from Merritt Island, Florida has also been delayed, but we hopefully happen before the end of the year.
Comp Air 9 customers will options on equipping their aircraft to their specific operational needs. One new option is Honeywell’s Bendix/King Apex Edge Series; the KFD 840 primary flight display and the KSN 770 digital Nav/Com. The Comp Air 9 will initially be sold as an experimental aircraft.
The Comp Air 11, single engine turboprop aircraft will be finished and ready for first flight by November of this year and should be ready for sale in January.
