Work To Fix Tillamook Air Museum Hangar Slated To Begin In August

Work is anticipated to begin in early August and is expected to take approximately 30 days to complete, according to a post on the museum’s Facebook page.

In a June 19, 2026, social media post, museum officials noted that while the board voted not to commit additional Port funds toward the Hangar B repair project, “discussions with potential partners continues actively behind the scenes.”

Financial Costs Halt Repairs at Tillamook Air Museum

“For now, and into the immediate future, the Tillamook Air Museum will remain closed,” Port officials said when voting not to repair the storm-damaged hangar. “Any significant repairs (more than just the current safety issue) would take months or years to complete throughout the building.”
