New McCauley prop for King Airs certified

The new propeller offers King Air B300 owners additional payload, increased takeoff and climb performance, reduced noise in the cabin and cockpit, and greater time between overhauls, according to officials with Textron Aviation, McCauley’s parent company.

Veteran pilot dies in crash after failing to remove flight control lock

The pilot’s failure to remove the flight control lock before departure, which resulted in a loss of airplane control and impact with terrain. Contributing to the accident was his failure to perform an adequate preflight inspection and flight control check before takeoff.

We had a great flight in to Skykomish State Airport (S88) and a fabulous lunch at the Whistle Stop cafe in town. The planes included two Maules, a Skywagon, a Carbon Cub, and a Cessna 120.”
