The improvement I am hoping this report will bring is more vigilance on behalf of the tower controllers at KFCM, as well as all the flight instructors and students. Even in a tower-controlled environment, operational errors are present with the saturation of flight training that occurs at this airport.

Qualified or competent?

Do you have the confidence to perform under pressure? The difference between being qualified and being competent can be very small, but it is a critical distinction.

Electric aircraft race in the works

Pre-registration is now open for the first Pulitzer Electric Aircraft Race, planned for May 2023. The race will be a four-day, 1,000-nm cross-country race beginning in Omaha, Nebraska, and ending near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
