KAUS first airport in nation to get advanced tower simulator
The FAA reports that Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (KAUS) in Texas is the first air traffic control tower in the nation to receive the new modernized Tower Simulation System, which is used for controller training on airport operations.

Applications open for Cascade Warbirds scholarships
Applications will be accepted until Feb. 29, 2024, for scholarships from Cascade Warbirds, for private pilot ground school with introductory flights for young people between the ages of 16 and 21.
Touch and goes banned at KTOA
In a Jan. 23, 2024, meeting, the Torrance City Council voted 5-1 (with one abstention) to ban touch and goes and restrict back taxis and low approaches at Zamperini Field (KTOA) in Torrance, California.

Old friends make good
