National effort needed to encourage students to pursue aviation careers
Inspiring young people and providing a clear pathway for students to choose a career in aviation is the goal of the task force, which recently held its second public meeting to discuss recommendations and strategies to encourage students to pursue a career in aviation or aerospace. The task force is made up of individuals from the aviation industry and the academic community.
STEM Flights expands to Wisconsin
Through STEM Flights, pilot mentors donate aircraft and time and are matched with students who apply online. Students are provided follow up resources for pursuing careers in STEM and aviation. The flight experiences donated by local pilots compliment the classroom instruction delivered by instructors.
Registration opens for revamped Air Race Classic
The annual race has a twist this year, thanks to the pandemic: Teams will create their own course and race on their own.
Virtual IA renewals tops 2,500
The inaugural Virtual IA Renewal Series event in January 2021 had nearly 1,500 attendees via virtual connection. This was the largest IA Seminar ever held and included participants from all over the world, according to company officials.

New Piper service center at KAPA
KCAC Aviation, which has been a Piper dealer since 1966, has appointed Arapahoe Aero in Englewood, Colorado, as a Piper Factory Authorized Satellite Service Center for Colorado and western Kansas.
