STEM Flights releases free aviation lesson plans for classrooms

Dallas flight school expands with mechanic, dispatcher courses
Flight training provider Thrust Flight is expanding in aviation education with the launch of a new Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic School in Conroe, Texas, and a new FAA-approved Aircraft Dispatcher program at its North Texas campuses in Addison and Denison.
North Dakota college to launch aviation maintenance program in fall 2025
Set to launch in Fall 2025, the program is the only FAA-certified offering of its kind in North Dakota, according to college officials, who note instruction will take place in both the classroom and at the AMT Program Hangar in collaboration with the Fargo Jet Center.

Oklahoma once again tops list for aerospace education
For the 2025-2026 school year, 144 schools across Oklahoma will teach the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) “You Can Fly” curriculum, up from 117 schools the previous year. This expansion represents more than 20% of all Oklahoma school districts, according to ODAA officials.
Iowa community college to launch new aviation degree
Delivered in partnership with North Iowa Air Service, the program is a five-semester curriculum that combines classroom instruction at North Iowa Area Community College with hands-on lab and flight training at Mason City Municipal Airport (KMCW).
