At AirVenture 2017, the 80th anniversary of the Piper Cub was celebrated. The iconic yellow plane was featured in a sea of taildraggers, as well as a lineup of Piper taildraggers in photos captured by General Aviation News Publisher Ben Sclair.

The need for speed
Air show star Kyle Franklin was a hit at EAA AirVenture 2017, where he flew the new Kitfox Speedster and met with fans at the Kitfox exhibit on the grounds. General Aviation News Publisher Ben Sclair captured these photos at the show, while Kitfox’s John McBean sent us the photo of the new Speedster in flight.
Magnificent Flying Machine
Penny Hamilton, the AOPA Airport Support Network Volunteer at Granby-Grand County Airport (KGNB) in Colorado, sent us these photos of a “Magnificent Flying Machine,” the Mitsubishi Marquise, which brought visitors to the Colorado high country to enjoy hiking and fly fishing.
