Sporty’s Aviation Gifts has introduced solar-powered runway and taxiway replica lights.
Designed to replicate the classic look of runway and taxiway lighting, pilots can use the lights to line a driveway, create a garden path, or add to a hangar, according to Sporty’s officials.
The lights, which are available in white (runway) or blue (taxiway), charge during the day then burn for eight hours during the night. No wiring is required.
The lights include a 5V solar panel, with a 3.7V 1200mAh lithium battery, as well as a manual on/off switch.
The lights are available as a set of six lights in blue or white for $249.99. Individual lights are $49.99.
