A recently completed book “AEROMASTERS: Celebrating a Century of the American Fighter Pilot, Vol. I” has been nominated for a 2025 Pulitzer Prize.
“We are honored to have our work recognized in this way,” said co-authors Dino Garner and Liz Fetter. “The honor truly goes to the heroes we have profiled in the book and their courageous service to our country.”
According to Garner, AEROMASTERS is “a tribute to the brave men and women who have served over the last century.”
The book features some of the most iconic and influential fighter pilots, aviation luminaries from World War I to modern-day conflicts, as well as U.S. Air Force pararescue jumpers since the Vietnam War era, he added.
The 250-page volume represents more than two years of original research, interviews with living military aviators and families of those passed, original artwork, and commemorative poetry, he noted.
