Garmin’s GFC 600 digital autopilot now includes a new mode controller, the GMC 605C.
The new controller contains a larger, sunlight-readable display that provides more than double the usable screen area compared to the previous mode controller, according to company officials.
Mode annunciations are now split into three sections on the display – lateral modes, autopilot status, and vertical modes. This presentation aligns the mode controller display with the annunciations seen on Garmin TXi flight displays for easier reference by the pilot, company officials said.
The GMC 605C is available now for most aircraft approved for GFC 600 installations.
