SkyWatch has launched a fully digital aircraft owner’s insurance platform.
The new platform allows general aviation aircraft owners to get a customized insurance policy online in a matter of minutes, with no need for a middleman, according to company officials.
The new product is backed by Global Aerospace, a provider of insurance and risk management solutions for the aviation industry.
“We believe it is time for the next generation of aviation insurance — faster, easier, and more customized to the needs of pilots,” said Tomer Kashi, co-founder and CEO of SkyWatch.
He noted that the company’s approach is “built on a foundation of data-driven technology and a deep understanding of the unique needs of pilots.”

In 2022, Skywatch launched an on-demand aircraft renter’s insurance. Since its debut, thousands of pilots customized their insurance policy plan according to the amount of time they spend in the air, company officials explained.
