Nine new hangars will be built at Yampa Valley Regional Airport (KHDN) in Hayden, Colorado.
“This project will address the current lack of hangar space. We can’t meet the demand for hangar space right now, and that demand is expected to increase in the coming years,” said Kevin Booth, airport director.
Business Aviation Group will manage the development of the new hangars, including two 120’x120′ large hangars, three 80’x60′ medium hangars, and four 60’x60′ small hangars. Medium and large hangars will feature office spaces and restrooms, BA Group officials said.
Work on the development, which is on the east side of the airport, near the Atlantic Aviation FBO, is slated to begin in November 2022 and be complete in the fall of 2023, according to Barry Sherman, BA Group partner and architect.
