Registration is now open for Cessnas 2 Oshkosh, the mass arrival of Cessna aircraft to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022.
This will be the 17th mass arrival, according to organizers, who note that 2021 was a “record year in all respects.”
Part of the 2021 accomplishments was incorporating Cessnas 2 Oshkosh as a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization.
“We hope to support the young pilots as more ‘seasoned’ pilots leave,” organizers noted. “We will use a small portion of our budget, in addition to the generous donations from our participants, to support the EAA Air Academy.”
If you’d like to participate in Cessna 2 Oshkosh 2022, there are three requirements:
- You must participate in at least one formation flight training clinic during the 2022 calendar year and be signed off by the lead pilot of the clinic.
- You must be on the ground at Dodge County Airport (KUNU) in Juneau, Wisconsin, and checked in by 11 a.m. CDT on July 23, 2022.
- You must participate in the preflight brief in the main hangar of Wisconsin Aviation at Dodge County Airport (KUNU) starting at 12 p.m. CDT July 23.
Formation clinics usually begin in mid-March, with organizers noting they are still in the planning stages.
“As soon as the date and location of these clinics are decided, we will post them on our website at Cessnas2Oshkosh.com,” organizers noted.
