TULSA, Oklahoma — Aircraft Specialties Services is close to achieving a milestone: The 1,000th C-85 customer to use the company’s STC allowing its certified Continental O-200 parts to be used in overhauling their engine.
“This customer will receive the STC paperwork and the new engine Data Plate for free with their purchase,” company officials said.
“Our STC allows customers to use the more readily available O-200 parts to keep their airplanes flying, and we want to thank them as we all move forward in a search for new and innovative ways to keep aviation strong,” said General Manager Eric Anderson.
The STC and parts kit includes overhauled crankshaft, connecting rods, and new pistons. These parts are becoming rare, but are currently in stock, company officials note.
