Jeff DeFreest submitted this photo and note: “Winter’s ice is finally off of many lakes on Admiralty Island National Monument in Southeast Alaska. Kari and I made our first 2020 camping trip in May with our trusty hound Magneto. An overnighter with “Herbie the Skywagon” (Cessna 180H on Edo 2960 floats) loaded with gear. The weather was CAVU, temperatures in the 70s and a nice breeze. All the remote fly-in US Forest Service cabins on the Tongass are real gems! This photo was taken from a Forest Service skiff at the Little Shaheen cabin on Hasselborg Lake setting off for a morning wildlife viewing expedition. We brought our own outboard motor.”
