FlightSimCon 2016 welcomed 520 attendees, along with 24 exhibitors, 30 sponsors, and 24 speakers, to the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks, Conn., at Bradley International Airport on June 11-12.
The biggest year yet for the annual flight simulation and aviation conference, FlightSimCon attracted a mix of pilots and aviation enthusiasts from more than 40 states, as well as from Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
The conference featured two hangars of interactive exhibits and displays from ORBX, Aerosoft, A2A Simulations, Jetline Systems, REX Game Studios, FltPlan.Com, Boston Virtual ARTCC, FSFX Packages, QualityWings, FlyInside, HiFi Simulations, GoFlight, Appropel, Vaughn College, and many more.
Attendees were able to try home simulator setups, as well as test out some of the display rigs from exhibitors.
Throughout the weekend, panel discussions and seminars featured developers, airline dispatchers, current and retired airline pilots, and flight simulation personalities.
Conference organizers added they were proud to welcome representatives from the Royal Canadian Air Force, as well as the 186th Civil Air Patrol Composite Squadron.
Prizes were given out all weekend, including a round-trip flight from Cape Air, PC headsets from David Clark, TrackIR bundles, controllers from Derek Speare Designs, DVDs from Just Planes, and more.
Flight simulation news organizations and personalities like AirDailyX.net, FlightSim.Com, Frooglesim, Novawing24, and many others have posted their perspectives on the event.

FlightSimCon will return in 2017, with dates to be announced later.
