NAFI extends deadline for Hall of Fame nominations

By General Aviation News Staff · January 11, 2016 ·

The National Association of Flight Instructors has extended the deadline for nominations until the end of January for the 2016 selection to the National Flight Instructor Hall of Fame.

NAFI sponsors the National Flight Instructor Hall of Fame (HOF) to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to aviation education and flight instruction while reflecting credit upon themselves and their profession.

This year’s inductees will be honored at the NAFI Member Barbeque Dinner at SUN ‘n FUN in Lakeland, Florida, on April 6, 2016.

To be nominated, the person must have been active in the field of aviation education under 14 CFR Parts 61, 121, 141 or 142 for a minimum of 20 years (prior to nomination), are of good moral character (FAR 61.153 (c)), and are respected within the aviation industry for integrity, professionalism and diligence.

NAFI membership is not a requirement to be selected as an inductee, nor is it a requirement to nominate an individual. You may also nominate yourself.

For more information regarding the award and a list of previous honorees, see the NAFI webpage dedicated to the Flight Instructor Hall of Fame here.
