ANCHORAGE – The 17th Annual Great Alaska Aviation Gathering came off without a hitch this past weekend, May 3-4. Housed inside the massive FedEx Maintenance Hangar at Anchorage International Airport, more than 275 exhibitors, indoor and outdoor static aircraft and a large handful of seminars were packed into the two-day event.
The Alaska Airmen’s Association annual airplane raffle was won by Michael Gibney of Pleasanton, Calif., much to the chagrin of every ticket holder in the hangar on Sunday.
