JOHN DAY, Oregon — The Grant County Regional Airport (GCD) has launched its new logo and website.
The website’s development and approval by the GCRA Commission will be used as an additional communication channel to convey information about the facility, promote its use and further market Grant County, airport officials said.
GCRA Commission President Ron Lundbom notes, “The new website will give us the means for reaching many more pilots who will be more inclined to visit our facility and enjoy the many amenities Grant County offers. Additionally, it gives us another venue for promoting the facility and opportunity for renting it for conferences, corporate events and even private events such as wedding receptions.”
GCD is a county owned, public use airport located in Grant County, Oregon. It is situated approximately one mile southwest of the central business district of John Day, Oregon. It is also the location of the helibase and training center for the USFS Malheur Forest’s rappeller firefighters. It is staffed year around, with peak operations generally occurring from May through October.
