BEDFORD, Mass. — The Aero Club of New England will host its second annual Reese Dill aviation safety lecture on Thursday, Nov. 7, at the USS Constitution Museum in Charlestown, Mass. The event will feature Capt. Greg Wooldridge, a three-time commanding officer and flight leader for the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels, as its keynote speaker.
Wooldridge will share his personal experiences as a member of the famed Blue Angels and their commitment to flight safety. Capt. Wooldridge has enjoyed a remarkable career in naval aviation, serving for 27 years in the U.S. Navy.
“We are honored to have such a distinguished guest as our keynote speaker,” said Paul S. Diette, the Aero Club of New England’s Safety Programs Co-Chair. “Here is an opportunity to get the inside story of what it takes to be a member of the Blue Angels, the Navy’s flight demonstration squadron, and what these men and woman do to minimize the risks of close formation aerobatic flying. No doubt there will be lessons learned that are applicable to any pilot and all forms of flying.”
This is the Aero Club of New England’s second annual Reese Dill safety lectureship event, which is named in honor of Reese Dill who was a skilled aviator, inventor, long-time member, and past president of the club.
The event is open to the public for a $35 fee and advanced reservations are required.
