The Oshkosh chapter of Women in Aviation, International, has revealed its “celebrity judges” for the organization’s third annual Frosting for Flight cupcake competition and cupcake sale. The event raises funds for the chapter’s $500 Spirit of Flight scholarship.
Emily Makowski, host of Oshkosh Today; Mark Harris, Winnebago County Executive; and Peter Moll, Wittman Regional Airport director, will serve as judges. Each judge will taste up to 10 cupcakes, comment on and score them based on taste, appearance, and theme. Miss Oshkosh 2013, Chelsey Wasielewski, will lead the Crowd Favorite judging.
Since there is a limit of 10 competitors, bakers are reminded to register before Oct. 4. Competitors are encouraged to form a one- or two-person team to bake and decorate a prize-winning cupcake. Contestants are encouraged to carry out a cupcake theme through table decorations and costume/dress. Represent your company or organization at this fundraising event, or enter on your own.
Prizes to the top three contestants will be awarded. Competition fees are $5 per person, or $10 per two-person team. Cupcakes will be on sale, starting at $1 each.
The event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wittman Regional Airport Terminal Building. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
