With the new module, customers can create an “explorer” view of the components of each aircraft and then define the required maintenance and inspections for each component. The Aircraft Component Status screen shows the overall go/no-go status of each aircraft at a glance, using green/yellow/red icons, and customers can “drill down” into each aircraft to see the individual status of each component, company officials explained.
All FAA-mandated Part 91 inspection and maintenance schedules are built into the system, and each one can be turned on or off with a single click. In addition, customers can create their own schedules for each component, and there’s no limit to the number of schedules that can be defined. Schedules can be based on number of flights, calendar dates, calendar months, and tach/hobbs hours, among others.
Each component can also have an associated life limit. And, for rotorcraft, life limits can be defined based on torque events and run-on landings in addition to the above criteria.
The new aircraft maintenance module is multi-user, so pilots and mechanics can enter records from anywhere, and management can view aircraft status in real-time, company officials note.
