iPad in Flight course released

By Janice Wood · June 17, 2012 ·

Flying Like The Pros has released a new online course “iPad in Flight,” the first of three iPad courses the company plans to release over the next few weeks.

The courses are led by 2010 National Flight Instructor of the Year Jeffrey Robert Moss “MossY” and CFI Toréa Rodriguez. Rodriguez is currently the COO of Coradine, the manufacturer of electronic pilot logbook LogTen Pro. The Executive Producer of the “iPad in Flight” course is Master CFI Peter King.

MossY, Toréa and Peter

The 40-minute course features popular iPad apps such as ForeFlight, Jeppesen Mobile FliteDeck, WingX and FlightGuide iEFB. The course covers a wide range of iPad aviation topics such as:

  • How To Be Legal When Flying With An iPad
  • Mounting and Securing Your iPad
  • Before Engine Start Flow-Check
  • Using the iPad Safely
  • iPad Gates
  • Enroute Navigation
  • Reroutes
  • Diversion Planning
  • Approach Plates
  • Abnormal Procedures

“In all my years in aviation, I’ve never seen anything like the revolution currently under way with pilots using the iPad. Our iPad course is packed full of our signature tips, tricks, “ah-ha’s” and most importantly, the “gotchas,” said “MossY”.

The course is priced at $59.99 and can be purchased at the company’s website: FlyingLikeThePros.com
