The American Airlines C.R. Smith Museum will host its Eagle Aviation Camp, a one-week camp in June that will explore and experiment with the driving force of flight – thrust – as well as takes the campers behind the scenes at one of the world’s largest airlines.
Children taking part in the 2012 Eagle Aviation Camp will tour seldom-seen aviation facilities as well as take part in a variety of fun, educational activities to demonstrate the physics of propulsion, museum officials said.
The Eagle Aviation Camp launches in June for students in grade 5 through 9:
- June 11-15 – for students entering grades 5, 6 and 7
- June 18-22 – for students entering grades 6, 7 and 8
- June 25-29 – for students entering grades 7, 8 and 9
A week at the Eagle Aviation Camp is priced at $250 per student for C.R. Smith Museum member families and $300 for non-members.
