As part of the “Zeniths to Oshkosh” festivities for AirVenture, a one-of-a-kind handcrafted guitar will be auctioned to benefit the Young Eagles program.
The electric guitar will be on display at the Zenith Aircraft booth during AirVenture, which kicks off July 25 and runs through July 31, and may even be playing in a concert or two at the show, according to company officials. The guitar will be autographed by Chris Heintz at the Zenith builders honorary banquet July 27 in the EAA Nature Center.
Sebastien Heintz reports that there’s already an early bid of $1,500 for the guitar, which is being crafted by Rick Land from Landric Custom Guitars of Grafton, Wis., who specializes in solid-body custom electric guitars; and Jason LeCavalie of Artistimo Custom Designs in Milwaukee, a master painter/artist behind Landric Custom Guitars who also specializes in high-end custom motorcycle finishes.
