Sporty’s Flight Review and Instrument Proficiency Check apps have been updated.
Sporty’s Flight Review App now includes a review quiz, including the relevant video segment for test review. The new app also includes the FAA’s publication “Guide to an Effective Flight Review,” and you can print the worksheets and checklists from this brochure using the AirPrint functionality and a networked printer (requires iOS 4.2 or higher).
Using a visual menu system, Flight Review is broken down into six subject areas and 42 video segments. Based on Sporty’s Private Pilot Flight Training Course, the Flight Review app contains over 96 minutes of 3D animations and in-flight video.
Sporty’s Instrument Proficiency Check App now includes a review quiz, as well as the FAA publication “Instrument Proficiency Check Guidance,” also printable with AirPrint.
Like the Flight Review App, Instrument Proficiency Check has a visual menu system to break down the material into six subject areas and 26 individual video segments. Instrument Proficiency Check is based on Sporty’s Instrument Rating Course and contains more than 150 minutes of 3D animation and in-flight video.
Both Apps are FAA WINGS-accepted courses.
Sporty’s Flight Review iPhone/iPad Aviation App is available for $29.99 and Sporty’s Instrument Proficiency Check iPhone/iPad Aviation App is available for $39.99 and may be downloaded for immediate use at Sportys.com/apps. These apps work on all iPhones, all iPod Touches, and the iPad 1 and 2.
