Sheltair has completed the addition of more than 100,000 square feet of aircraft parking at the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP), in time for the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend.
The new ramp expansion adds more than 100,000 square feet to the existing 130,000 square foot ramp of apron, totaling 230,000 square feet. Mike Lerma, general manager at Sheltair ECP, stated, “This will greatly improve our ability to receive and depart aircraft. It will also improve the safety of our operation, as well as reduce our dependency for off-site parking of transient aircraft. Ultimately, the expansion allows us to give better service to our customers.”
The ramp expansion is a part of the new Sheltair terminal development project that is expected to be complete within the next couple of months. In addition to the ramp space, the project includes a 5,000-square-foot executive facility, 9,100-square-foot hangar and 1,680 square feet of additional office space.
