The Kansas City Aviation Department recently unveiled its new website for the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport (MKC) to give GA pilots the information they need in real-time.
The new site offers instant access to information on weather conditions, self fueling options and pricing, runway specifications, hangar rentals, and terminal services, air traffic control frequencies, maps, weather, aviation links and more, airport officials say.
Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport has also recently undergone approximately $70 million in improvements to enhance operations, safety and efficiency of the 80 year-old facility. This includes new terminal and hangar facilities, new meeting facilities, new taxiways, and a self-serve avgas fueling station, officials add.
The Kansas City Airport System is an Enterprise Fund Department of the City of Kansas City, Mo., and is supported wholly by airport user charges.
