Steve Bates has been appointed CEO of Emery Air, tasked with leading the existing senior management team to expand Emery’s FBO, maintenance, repair and overhaul business at the Chicago/Rockford International Airport (RFD).
Bates has served nearly 35 years in various senior management capacities with Midcoast/Jet Aviation in St. Louis. Through the years he has held positions of increasing authority, including senior program manager, director maintenance sales and product support, including his most recent position of Director MRO Customer Support.
Emery Air is a provider of aircraft maintenance services in the Midwest, drawing business aviation and airline customers throughout the US. The company has served as a Hawker/Beechcraft Authorized Service Center for 45 years. Emery Air is also a full service FBO that employs more than 150 personnel at its 150,000-square-foot facility as a major tenant on the Chicago/Rockford International Airport
