CFI Tools has unveiled the latest upgrade for its Preflight WX+ App for the iPad: An expanded weather forecast function.
The forecast feature is a natural add-on for the Preflight WX+ App, which already packages other preflight information, such as weight and balance, takeoff and landing distances, and more, according to company officials.
“We are pleased to add this new feature to our Preflight WX+ App,” said CFI Tools owner Brian Best. “The iPad is the perfect platform for this application. Although the pilot’s job to gather this information is required, the fact is that it may often be skipped or done in random bits and pieces. The iPad and this App are so easy to use it makes the job easier. Therefore it will be done more often and more completely. My hope is that this will make the skies even safer. I built this app, and the others, for my own use for exactly that purpose.”
