Michael Combs will speak at an open house hosted by US Aviation at the Denton Municipal Airport (DTO) in Texas Feb. 6. In a joint meeting that will be attended members of the Texas Pilot’s Association, Combs will discuss the cutting edge technology that has been installed into the Remos GX aircraft that he’ll be piloting in a mission called “The Flight for the Human Spirit,” including satellite tracking to a newly patented system that aids in designing routes online while keeping charts automatically updated.
His mission will take him to all 50 states for a total distance of more than 19,400 miles. He plans to land at 135 airports across the United States.
This is one of the final times to meet Combs and to see his aircraft named, “Hope One,” before he takes off from Salina, Kan., April 4. The open house is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
