Master Instructors LLC and its Board of Review recently accredited four CFIs as Master Instructors.
Of the approximately 93,000 CFIs in the United States, fewer than 700 have earned Master accreditation, according to officials, who note the last 14 FAA National Flight Instructors of the Year were Master CFIs. In addition, the FAA has approved the accreditation as an alternate means for CFIs to renew their flight instructor certificates.
Aviation educators who earned the “Master” title during September are: Anthony Johnstone, Master CFI-Aerobatic, Winfield Kan.; Clifford Izer Jr., Master CFI, Alpharetta Ga.; Thomas Gilmore, Master CFI, Stuart, Fla.; and Randy Bailey, Fort Collins, Colo.
