The Cleveland City Council in Tennessee has voted to authorize the mayor to request permission to zone land in Bradley County for a new airport.
But some residents are hoping plans for the new Cleveland Airport will crash and burn, according to a report that notes:
“Council members say a new airport will help industry and bring in more money. But concerned citizens say this is a horrible time for a new airport and that the construction will ruin their community.”
