SimCom now offers an eight-day, one-person CitationJet (CJ) captain initial training course.
The course prepares the pilot to take a check ride in eight days rather than 14 as offered in SimCom’s standard course. Customized one-on-one instruction maximizes daily learning and provides the pilot the same content as in the longer course, according to SimCom officials.
The FAA Part 142 and insurance industry approved program is available to pilots who fly the CJ, CJ1, CJ2 and CJ3.
Training is conducted at SimCom’s Orlando, Florida, training center. All training is conducted in the company’s Level C simulator, which features a two-tube Honeywell electronic flight instrumentation system (EFIS) and a GNS-XLS flight management system. An on-board instructor operating station enables the instructor to simulate a complete range of training scenarios including normal, abnormal and emergency operating procedures.
