The Minnesota Seaplane Pilots Association is holding its annual Safety Seminar May 1-3 at Cragun’s Lodge on East Gull Lake (9Y2) in Brainerd, Minnesota.
The seminar includes a variety of activities, ranging from social events, such as bonfires and a banquet with a guest speaker, to an update from various float manufacturers on new products.
Seminars will cover topics ranging from safety to maintenance and medical issues, as well as avionics, U.S. Customs and more.
Pilots also can receive training in their own airplanes from instructors at the seminar, as well as visit the exhibit area, which includes exhibitors ranging from federal and state agencies to manufacturers.
Association officials note there is plenty of sand beach and a grass strip just walking distance away from the lodge, or pilots can arrange for the lodge to pick them up in its van.
