Mort Mason recently released his second book, “The Alaska Bush Pilot Chronicles,” which includes stories from his more than 30 years of flying hunters, fishermen and sightseers to remote locations around his stat
e in his Piper Super Cub and a Cessna Turbocharged 206 Amphibian.
Mason also includes tales of legendary pilots who’ve flown before him and of those backcountry pilots still flying today in other remote parts of the globe.
Mason, who has written about Alaska hunting, sport fishing, and backcountry flying for more than 25 years, logged more than 18,000 hours flying in the Alaska bush country.
