The end of the public comment period on the TSA‘s LASP marks the beginning of a new, equally rigorous chapter in making the industry’s concerns about the proposal known in Washington, said NBAA President Ed Bolen on March 2.
“Although the TSA is not required to notify the industry on the progress of its review of the comments submitted on LASP, NBAA will keep pressing its concerns with officials at the Department of Homeland Security and TSA,” Bolen said. “Another key area the Association will continue to focus on is Congress, where some lawmakers have already voiced concern about the LASP. NBAA officials will continue meeting with lawmakers in the coming weeks to discuss the business aviation community’s concerns,” he added.
