Garrett/Piedmont Hawthorne/Associated has received an STC for installation of Rockwell Collins’ IDS-3000 Integrated Display Systems on Dassault Mystere-Falcon 200 and FJ44 Eagle II Citation 501 series aircraft.
The Falcon 200 installation includes four 8-inch-by-10-inch active matrix liquid crystal displays – two primary flight displays and two multi-function displays – that replace the original flight instruments. The new equipment integrates additional information for the flight deck, providing greater situational awareness. The package also includes new turbulence detection weather radar, digital air data computers and a Rockwell Collins Integrated Flight Information System (IFIS).
The STC for the Citation series of aircraft is available in a two or three display format. In the FJ44 Citation 501, the new displays replace the aircraft’s existing electromechanical engine instruments. The installation includes a new Rockwell Collins turbulence detection weather radar, digital air data computers, IFIS File Server and options for AHRS and XM Satellite Weather Receiver. In conjunction with the IDS installation, a new Garmin 530, 430, 330 Radio Package and a Collins TCAS-4000 TCAS II (Traffic and Collision Avoidance System) were also certified.
